Why are there so many idiots with premium domains?
Often when I want to start a new project I will prepare a wishlist of domains and then approach the owners to buy their domain.
I often approach those with domains not in use, or going to some completely stupid page. Assuming they either have no use for it, or dont know its true value.
50%+ dont reply, doesnt matter how enticing the email is, it seems like without fail the rest are broken down like this.
a) attached to the domain as if it were their first born child, they have a grand plan for it but have never got it off the ground.
b) convinced the domain is worth at least 10-100X more than they would ever realistically get for it.
c) happy to reply to your emails but never willing to discuss price or actual sale, just want to waste your time.
I have to restrain myself from educating them on how stupid they are for not making better use of their domain.
I dont know, maybe I just have really bad luck and I'm approaching more than my fair share of morons. Its been a long time since I scored a reasonable seller.
