To tell you the truth I think its the opposite in a lot of cases. My dads whole family (there's 6) has at least 3 kids, most have 4-5. They simply want kids. It brings them happiness. My dad just told me yesterday his wife is pregnant. People like kids.
Perhaps the rich and well off are just too busy for kids and always keep that in mind.
