    VCR to DVD? Best methods

What is the best method to convert VCR movies to DVD, I guess using a VideoCard with VIVO would be the easiest way but wondering what you guys think would be the best.

    Cheers

I used this guide to do my conversions from VHS to DVD.
I used a Hauppage WinTV PVR-250 video card which is kinda old but still one of the best since it has onboard MPEG encoder so it doesn`t use the CPU for enconding.

Do a search on the board. I seem to remember a massive thread about this not that long ago.

I saw dvd-r recorders for the home the other day for like $88. I would assume you could just use the video inputs with that and the vcr and copy it that way,.

Dazzle : direct to DVD ( mpeg encoder)
Pyro AV link ( ADS systems ) multiple inputs/outputs ( including component) but captures as avi ... You need tp encode after.

Can someone explain why you want to do this via pc if you can just use one of the new dvd recorders and a vcr? Are there benefits or something? Sounds like alot more hassle.
