I would say "Deposit the cheque" nicely one more time. If they refused I would raise my voice 10x and say "Close my account immediately." That solved every problem. strange, i've never had that problem. in my hometown it was no problem because everyone knew me but even when i moved to ottawa when i first brought some checks in i explained the situation, told them they could call the bank manager in my hometown where i was cashing checks for years without a single bounce. they didn't even call, just put a note on my account so i make sure to always go to that branch. the bank is td canada trust btw.
