    How are you making money with mainstream sites?

    How are you making money with mainstream sites?
    I have a couple of mainstreams Sites together they hit like 150k a day but I'm just pulling in $100 from Adsense. Bandwidth is taking most of that.
    Any other good programs,sponsors anything?

    Ref codes are cool with me

                                          that sounds horrible for adsense. have you tried messing with the color scheme and stuff? let me see your pages i might be able to help. most of my pages have a CTR of about 20%.

                                                              I have about 25k(160-200k pageviews because the surfer stay for a long time) and this is what a average day look like


                                                              But on www.tradedoubler.com I get 20-50% CTR... but NOT on google adsense

                                                                                  If you have such a high CTR on google adsende, it must be because what is on the banner is better than what is on your site = no bookmarkers.

                                                                                  guess all that matter is what you get payed in the end of the day, and the ~$100 MORE than pays my BW bill

                                                                                          http://www.claxon.com pays on CPM banners, skyscrapers, and leaderboards. I'm pretty sure they take all types of mainstream sites.

A surfers clicks because they are interested in learning more (inline ads in an article with great content works very well in this case). I target surfers who are in a buying behavorial mode, already have their credit cards handy and are ready to purchase something.

                                                                                                      I use the filter list alot too, eBay and other low-bidders with rather untargeted content do not touch my sites.

                                                                                                                                              Its all about contrast and placement -- test until you reach your desired point.

                                                                                                                                              I usually do 7-15% CTR on my Adsense sites. I try to move traffic to other pages on my sites so I'm not really better off having a higher CTR.

                                                                                                                                              What kind of CPC are you guys averaging? My very general sites usually do pretty bad, maybe 5 cents, but my best sites average over a dollar a click/
