Are you able to get all the 2257 docs from your content providers?

We were buying a lot from content from various providers and lots of sets were not supplied with the 2257 docs since it was not required for that time. However now we are trying to get all these 2257 docs from the content providers. Lots of studios have reacted to our requests really fast, and they have supplied us with all the docs within a couple of days. However some other "content producers" are trying to drag out this process or simply trying to hide from us. There are few "famous" ones among them... Seems some of these studios haven't 2257 docs at all despite the fact that they are primary providers and was obligated to keep these docs under old 2257 rules. I.e. they are broke the law already!

So guy, how share your successes and failures with getting the 2257 docs from your content providers. Did you got everything very easy, or may be you have some problems with it?

Let's put here a list of good (reliable) content providers who was able to provide all the docs in time as well as those "studios" that trying to scam you!

Here we go. This is a list of GOOD (reliable) content providers that do their business honestly:

Yes, I got both id's and model releases with dates and signatures of course. Everytime when I'm saying 2257 docs I mean the id and model release on EACH performer (model).

No blacklists for me yet, there are only two that I'm watching who keep telling me "soon" for the IDs and releases (not implying anything by my wording, both of these companies are run by great people):

JVContent

The rest (about eight, most of which you listed on your white list) have all provided the materials to be fully compliant already.

I purchased a ton of content from them a couple of years back, and they did not respond to my emails, when i got them on ICQ, i asked them about the docs and they went right offline without answering me.

NOw here is what the website says:

In response to the new Federal USC 18 Sect. 2257 regulations, we will NOT be providing the model identification and release documents.

Zipcontent was broker right - thats the problem.Lot of productions are gone out of biz so they are probably not even able to get docs from them any more

If ZIP CONTENT acts that way, they seem have no 2257 docs on the hands... However they MUST have all the docs on their content EVEN according to the previous edition of 2257 because they are considered as a PRIMARY PROVIDER... So this situation smells very bad IMHO...

Yes this is one Ill enjoy translating to English. Jimmy SCUMBAG Prostock bought stuff from me and on one occasion made me wait almost a fucking year to get paid.... from someone else... at a 50% reduced rate. Another time he bought exclusives from me which he got the content and the docs... it took 6 months to get paid.
While I was waiting to get paid, he repeated told me wire transfer was done, but was taking over a month for it to appear as they are slow at his bank

Also I paid him for an exclusive hardcore scene.. which was big mistake.. He basically sent me a video where the lighting was god awefull attrocious and the camera was done by a tranny.,. need to say all i saw through the whole video was the guys ass.

I thought cluthcontent sold all their stuff to someone else? and I can't remember who

Rockbottom has helped me a lot, getting me all the documents I needed, as did Tom Mayes. Fantasy content is in the process of completing just a few.

The one I an concerned about is licensedcontent.com. They bought quite a few websites I bought from and I am waiting for them to come thru.

I wouldn't touch documents that have been obfuscated. Those who want to do it, say there is nothing in the regulations to prevent some of the details being blacked out. There is certainly nothing which says they can be, and I'm not about to find myself in a test case over $50 of content.

yeah i definately wouldn't touch it either, was just going over some of my friend's content whom hasn't had any idea what 2257 was until last night

Also waiting on photogregg.com(who has provided some but not all of the ID's to me)

I believe the above two will come through they are probably just swamped
with ID request at the moment. But I sure hope its soon so I can bring my web sites back online.

I emailed Licensed Content, and was essentially told that they didn't have documents from half the producers I had bought sets from, and what they did have I would have to pay for the docs.

I did get a few of the ID's from photogreggs page but not all of them are listed. But he told me to send him a list of the ones that were missing which I did. So I'm just waiting on him to update the page or send me the missing ID's. His ICQ says he is on a shoot today and won't be back to 6pm. Working hard I guess

Update: Still no word from either Worldwide Content or JVContent regarding full model releases and photo IDs being available for all scenes/sets. Worldwide was apparanatly at "60%" three weeks ago so I still have my fingers crossed...
