you sure walked away with a lot of misconceptions. remember, history repeats itself, and you can be sure that there will be a black man before any woman
I don't think i did, once you get out of the major cities and towns, a lot of people have their own misconceptions that all black people are gonna rob, kill, rape them etc. There is quite an undercurrent of racism i found. Not saying the UK is any better.
I was walking in a black area one day when i got stopped and got talking to some people, they thought i was brave/insane/mad to be there because most white people wouldn't even drive through that part of town let alone walk. I was like "Why?", the answer, "cuz we are black and they are white". I was "well we're all still human beings". Fear, especially of the unknown. To much subtle segregation..
I could see Condi Rice being the vice president as soon as 2008. I think it would be very hard for a black Democrat to ever become president. They would have to have mainstream appeal to whites, especially in red states, which would be very unlikely. And have to still appeal to their base and not be seen as sellouts. In other words, I don't see it happening in a long time, at least not a democrat. It would have to be a situation where like when Clinton won and there was a third party candidate taking a lot of conservative vote. Or the other way is if they are the vice president and the president gets killed.
who gives a fuck? isnt wanting a president for skin color discrimation? Doesnt a job like most influental person of the world depend on the capabilities of that person and not on race? You guys see things too black and white, its fucking sad
There actually was a "black" president in office. He wasn't full black, but his grandmother was a slave. His name escapes me, I may have to go dig up my history books.
