But when listing "the number of rooms" in a house for sale, do you count the kitchen as a room? Or is it automatically understood that a kitchen is part of the house in general?

What about a large fully furnished Sun room? Do you count that as a room?

Lastly, what about an L-shaped great room, where one section of the L is used as a dining room, and the other side of the L is a living room. Would that be considered one room or two?
