    Interesting DOJ article today...

    Gonzales decided the drapes covering two semi-nude art deco pieces should be removed. They were placed there by Ashcroft initially. I wonder if this has any significance with regards to the new 2257 regs. Perhaps Gonzales will realize that the justice department bit off more than can chew and drop the new law altogether after the injunction is approved in August.

              That's what I'm thinking. Gonzalez inherited these new regs. It was Ashcroft that actually started this bullshit last year. Maybe he doesn't fully believe in it? Judging from the one-sided nature of the law, it doesn't seem like they did much research in regards to the impact the new law has on businesses from all types of industries.

                  Would be interesting if this is why the DOJ rolled over on the injunction and would be equally interesting if they rolled over in court and let a judge remove 2257 instead of removing it themselves...

                  That outcome would be considered normal. Let someone else clean up the mess and not look like a sand kick to the face of Ashcroft.
