This may be a fairly ghetto way of doing, but try plugging the L/MONO slot in drum machine into PodXT (or base pod)
It may as well work, and you may end up with extra distortion effects on the drums to play around with hehe
If you're spending the money on gear, I'd recommend to get a new sound card, it'll run you about $100 and you'll immediately hear the difference.
