One little bit of trivia that would lead one to believe that he was in fact married.
In the bible, Jesus is repeatedly called, "Rabbi." Back then, in order to be a rabbi, you absolutely had to be married.
Rabbis were naturally considered leaders, so the pratical logic goes something like this: Most people are married. If you're going to lead married people, then you too should be married. That way, you are equipped to relate to your followers, flock, etc. more effectively, because you deal with the same issues, experiences and struggles that they do.
