Mother tongue: Finnish
Can speak: English
Understand but can't speak anymore:
Swedish, German, French, a little Spanish and very little Estonian
I consider myself as bilingual at some standards, I've been speaking english at home with my husband for over two years, and my Finnish vocabulary that used to be wider than average, is starting to vanish to the point where I am more comfortable using English in most situations. I dream in English, I speak to my cats in English.
I studied Swedish for five years, German for six, French for three and Spanish for one year. Now I can't form a sentence in any of them. What a waste of time and energy! Now I wish I had taken programming classes instead
