One of the best things my dad told me was to never worry about the minor stuff, and to keep in mind, that very very little in this world can actually destroy you, most things are just minor bumps.

He told me that before you get all upset about something, stop and think if it will matter to you 10 years from now. Will it have made a significant impact on your life? If so, then worry about it, if not, then don't bother.

So if the washer, dryer, fridge and stove all break down within 3 weeks of each other and you are dead broke for 2 months replacing it all....in 10 years it won't matter, so laugh it off, find a way to deal with it and don't get all depressed about it. If your loved one is dying...yep, that would have a significant impact 10 years down the road so it is fine to be upset with it.

Too many people in this world spend too much time getting pissed off, depressed, or whining about little things. A few insignificant things go wrong, and all of a sudden life sucks, life is so hard, there is no purpose to life etc.

Life sucks if the people close to you are dying....life sucks if you live in a bomb shelter with your little kids while bombs go off all around you. Life sucks if you are in a third world country, there is no food and you are all starving to death. Other than that, life is pretty damn good and it is time to count your blessings, realise how many things are GOOD about life, wake up, go outside for a walk and see life happen and be thankful that you woke up and you have another day on this earth to enjoy
