what's the difference between 2000 and 2100?

2000 doesn't have enough space between the handle grip and the body. The 2100 has the toggle and start/stop button on the handle too. Might be a better chip also... not sure on that.

The VX2100 rocks because it is a 1 lux camera.

Put a quality Wide Angle Lens on it and it is perfect for porn!

That makes me feel better. A friend showed me a few links for $1300, and freaked me out.... but I'd only buy from a true sony dealer anyway, so it sounds like I'd still be at the $2300.

Tat I paid the same six months ago for my VX2100. Can't complain, I got a LOT of good use out of it. Newer and better video and still cameras are coming out faster every year.

My first one costed $3200 new, I just picked up a second one from a friend for $1500 and it is almost new, only had about 12 or so hours on it.

Do you guys capture off them? If you do, you should stop and get a cheap mini dv cam to capture from. Saves on the very expensive heads and wear and tear of the 2100.

We still have a VX 2000, and are thinking of getting the 2100. $1300 is a blackmarket price or something... you can't get them legit for that cheap.

What you found is "GREY MARKET", not a Sony product, it's an unauthorized OEM. Buyer beware.
