The best kind of mac-n-cheese is the home-made baked kind..nothing beats that shit. Potluck dinners are famous for having at least one dish of baked mac-n-cheese..mmmmmm.
The boxed sutff is good when you are in a hurry..I prefer the white cheese kind

oh man i hate that baked shit, it's like the stuff they served in the school cafeteria. i'm all about the kraft spirals!!
My son grew up on Kraft Mac N Cheese (and every other fast food you can think of) and at 5'10" weighed 150 pounds.
So what you are saying is that you can't cook, LOL.
When I make macaroni and cheese, I use Tillamook extra sharp cheese, kielbassa susage and onions - thin slice then pan cook the sausage, saute the onions, grate the cheese, then prepare the macaroni. Put them all together in a casserole dish, then sprinkle with parmesan cheese on top. Bake. ENJOY!!!
My friends who taste it said they never thought that macaroni and cheese could taste so good.
I prefer the extra creamy M&C myself - sprinkle a bit of grated cheese on top and you're good to go!

I actually mix a little of the leanest hamburger in it for a white trash fiesta meal.
Yup.
I add in lean ground beef, some of those mixed veggies, the frozen kind, some chopped onions, extra cheese, a pinch of garlic and other seasonings, a few good shplooples of tabasco,

Hell, yeah. I always make macaroni casserole for any family event. They riot if I don't.
This is how I make it and it kicks ass:
12 oz dry macaroni
16 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
1 stick margarine
1 onion, chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
2 cans creme of mushroom soup
1 small jar pimiento
Boil macaroni and onion together for 8-10 minutes, drain and mix in all remaining ingredients, saving just enough cheese to sprinkle on top. Pour into 9x13 pan, sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Nooo! Regular ol' Kraft Mac N Cheese is the only way to go
how sad is it that I now find it a delicacy because I can very rarely buy it here. The supermarket I did used to find it at changed owner ship and now nothing

see now that sounds good and all but boxed mac and cheese and the baked stuff are different animals totally
In all honesty, I HATE fucken pimento, but after it cooks in the oven, it's fine. It cooks most of the taste out and the whole thing is cheesy. I've made it with and without and you can't really tell the difference. I think it just looks nicer with the specks of red color in it, lol.

True. I do make the box stuff sometimes and even regular homemade mac and cheese, but it's never as good (to me). The Velveeta shells and cheese stuff is about as close as it comes.
