I took a number of shots of it. I just went out to take another look at it and the afternoon sun is doing a number on it. It's slightly browning and beginning to draw up.

be careful of the freezer - not sure the best way to preserve the shape but research before doing anything

I think freezing it would do damage to it, edible mushrooms I've frozen turn out slimy when defrosted, fine for cooking, but no good for salads and such. One site suggests to put a mushroom in a paper towel over a lamp to dry. That's probably my best bet.

It's picked and inside now. If I can get it to dry and still retain it's shape I may hit it with a light spray of shellac or something, it's trying to come apart on the bottom "lip".
