i'm not sure i fully understand exactly what it is that zango does to steal traffic and sales, i have read a little here and there on the forum here, but i guess its just not totally sinking in...

from what I gather a cookie is always overwritten by the latest affiliate to present the site to the surfer
so, zango will pop a window up after all other windows are popped, with their affiliate id in the pop up, so any aff id that the surfer had 10 minutes ago because of your site, is now wiped out because zango popped that window
