What kind of ratios do you get with Google's adwords? Is it as good as normal se stuff?

Depends on the wording of your ads. I recently ran 2 campaigns for the same site, both at the same max CPC and daily budget, the only change was the wording of the ad. One converted 1:17, the other 1:97 -

i love adwords... one more thing to remember, most of the keywords/phrases on adwords have a 0.05 max CPC, so if you made yours 0.06 it will show up a lot more, and you'll have a lot more potential clicks.Comment

to get better ratios you might target only US / Canada surfers and possibly also disable displaying your ads on content pages ( go to campaign -> settings etc... from what i remember )
i never made big money with it though, just a coupled hundred here and there
people like WG probably make constantly $1k+ daily from it

There's definitely A LOT to be made from adwords, that is, if you have money to get started and play around testing things. I'm planning on getting a 'real' job soon just so I can have money I don't need to test things out.. I can still live off of my websites, but with the income from this real job, i'll have $100's extra a week to play around with. I plan on doing adwords with about 90% of this money.Comment

actually tracking is a problem for me, let's say I promote nasty dollars with 3 different PPc Se's, then comparing all the stuff and checking where the sales come from can be a tough job ( or when you also send traffic f.e from galleries to nasty dollars and also from Adwords, and as u know sponsors often show "blank" for referring pages so you cant figure out where the sale came from and you cant tell exactly if the campaing is profitable )
and adwords also have all the BS rules and that's discouraging
or when they disable my keywords, becaue of too low CTR... or when i start a new campaign, submit keywords and some of them are already disabled from start,lol....
the whole thing may sound like spendign $30 daily and making easy $50, or spending $300, making $500 etc, but it's actually not that easy and you have to analyze a lot...
but after I wrote this.. well, maybe it's time to play with it more again, instead of wasting time on GFYI don't use ICQ anymore.Comment
