generally - I would say if they ask YOU and ONLY you - that means they want to spend time with YOU. If they ask you and a couple other people - that's different but if it's clear they ask YOU and you accept knowing it's JUST going to be the TWO of you and no one else - and you KNOW that - then USE YOUR BRAIN. That's a statement that this person wants to spend more time with YOU on a personal level, and by agreeing you are making a statement that you want to spend more time with this person on a private personal level. If that's not what you want - bring someone else along and that will take it that one step back again.
Do you have any expectations of him paying? Another good thing to think about.
I believe actions speak louder than words. Some people get caught up in definations like date, boyfriend, etc. Fact is - time is really what counts. If people choose to spend time together it means they like each other. If people choose to spend time privatly together it means they REALLY like each other. If people choose to spend time naked private together - well....
Ask yourself this - if people see you with someone they will THINK it's a date unless there are other people with you. That's a fact so no matter what you tell yourself it is - everyone will think it's a date and you've publically labeled yourself as going on a date with this person even if you think it isn't one.
that being said - I have a date this Fri with Jman. I'm dressing up - he's taking me to the movies! He's gona have to be INCREDIBLY smooth though if he expects me to put out.
