    Weird Shit going on.

    I turned the t.v. off before I went to bed.

    I wake up and it's on. But it's on the "on demand" channel which is channel 01.
    The only thing you see is the menu to select movies etc and there is no sound.

    So I am sitting here reading GFY and all of a sudden I hear something. And I turn around and the tv is now on channel 5 and playing the local news.

    Now I have two remotes. One is sitting near my bed, the other is right here on my desk and I have not touched either.

    My grandmother passed away last night....LOL you think maybe she and my mom are haunting me...LOL?

          sounds strange, maybe someone is fucking with u, do you have a window in that room? some one might have walked by with 1 of those universal remotes that can switch tv's over 100ft away

                  Only 1 window, and the cable box is not facing that direction...and it's 7 am here...someone must be bored deciding to fuck with me at 7 am...and I doubt seriously they'd know I was even up.

                      Gramma kickin' it, ler her chill for a few weeks and keep the windows and back door open when it's sunny, close them rain and evening don't cook meat, onions, or garlic in the house for the 5 week duration.

                                              With all the signals going on everywhere, cellphones, remotes, radio, TV, even microwaves, it's no wonder the odd TV is being affected. It happens to my TV sometimes too. I leave it on in the other room, and later I go in and it's off. Or...I'm watching a program and suddenly the channel changes on me for no reason.

                                              I'm convinced that my upstairs tenant's TV remote is partially cross-signalled with mine somehow.

                                              I may have to sneak up there while she's not home and "re-tune" it for her. :D

                                                      I live in a cul de sac in a house...almost zero traffic and it's 7 am.

                                                      Not saying there isn't a reasonable explanation...but when you're sitting in a quiet house after waking up and you notice the tv is now on when it was off...and then you're sitting in the quiet no lights on reading GFY and all of a sudden the channel changes and sounds hits you...it tends to surprise you...LOL

                                                              Oh I hear you man. I can relate to what you're saying. But if every signal going on in your area right now were to magically light up in infra-red you would literally shit yourself over how much unseen air traffic is going on.

                                                              Cellphone use is banned in local hospitals here, due to signal congestion and the possibility of the performance of medical equipment being affected. It's no surprise then, in light of that, that a tv might be affected as well.


                                                              ... or it could just be ghosts.
