    Tech Making pics/thumbs from MTS files

    Hi

    Can anyone recommend a software that makes fairly high quality pics and thumbs from MTS video files?

                      MTS are HD Camera files.

                      Anyone have any experience with a decent software that can handle this?
                      Trying to avoid converting before running thumbs to get maximum quality. Thanks

                      If I have to convert them first whats been your collective experience as best format for that? MP4 or WMV or ?

                                      i just have to make them by hand with PS if i need them from the MTS. Other wise the videos get converted and then done.

                                      Now there is a Player but I dont recall which one that will do screen caps. You set the seconds between the shots and it makes them

                                      Also. if you have PhotoShopCC or better then you can right click the video file and open with Photoshop

                                          you can use ffmpeg to extract screen cap in PNG
                                          or you may be able load your MTS with Virtual dub and choose the right pic and save it (or copy it to photoshop)

                                              What about adobe premiere...

                                              You can make screenshots from original file.... then you'll have tiffs which you can batch into jpegs with adobe fireworks...
