You cannot pay for anything in US dollars here. First you must exchange it into Australian currency.
Have you travelled anywhere?
I havent been to austrailia but some of my family has. one instance about money in particular came up in a story my dad told me. I wont bore you with the details but the guy accepted the money.
yes joe i have travelled- sure you want to exchange money it to make things easier BUT ive used american money to buy shit in other countries.
when in europe ive never had anyone NOT take my money. Ever.
And that goes for every other place ive travelled too.
because american money is accepted worldwide and that cant be said for any other nation ....
let me clear this up. re-reading this i can see that i wasnt specific.
of course other nations money is accepeted in other countries.
i was speaking as if the money wasnt exchanged, would it still be accpeted and the answer is yes, moreso than other countries currencys.
im speaking from experince of traveling europe and having several different countries currency's and not having a specific countries currency. the american currency was accepted/preferred over the others i had which were german, english/uk and dutch.
some countries in europe just wanted american and not their own.
same went for the caribbean islands, mexico, central america and south america.

I will repeat myself because you clearly aren't listening:
US dollars are not legal tender in Australia. Never have been and never will be. US dollars are worthless here until they are exchanged into Australian currency.
You cannot walk into a shop in Australia and pay for things with US currency. Businesses here do not accept it.

Don't waste your time, he obviously doesn't understand.

Joe im not disagreeing with you. I'm just giving you an example of an experience my dad had in your country thats all.
if you think im lying to you, thats cool too, i dont give a fuck.
i said american money is accepted in every country. period.
No, you're wrong. It is not accepted in Australia. Nor is it accepted in most of the countries I've travelled to... until you change it into local currency.
Now who's as thick as a brick?
P.S. I've travelled to almost 30 countries and no more than half a dozen accepted US currency in the shops.
i said american money is accepted in every country. period.
I live in Canada (the 51st state) and I still can't use my US$$$ in a lot of places...and when I can use it no one gives me what the banks do. So your blanket statement: "american money is accepted in every country. period." is FALSE.
Just admit you're a dumbfuck and I'll forgive you jonesy
But all the flag-waving and rhetoric would be no more than annoying, if not for the fact that it is blinding the population to abuses of power. America is not a facist regime Yet. I don't know that it ever could be. But they are certainly putting the tools in place to make that a possibility. And that's far more significant than the particular individual who happens to take office.
Yeha, we abused our power in World War I, World War II, and when we rebuilt Japan and Germany. I guess you've never heard about checks and balances in that little document called the Constitution, moron...
