then you've some very efficient designers who throw very good work but I find their designs kinda cookie cutter like webinc and bluedesignstudios
and between those groups of great designers I'd put Quashe: not the most original, not the most efficient, but still more original than the second group's
there's a brazilian guy who makes some nice non adult stuff, but don't remember his URL and I've seen some nice work here and there but right now don't remember the designer.
Another one who wasn't mentioned in this thread is Madsights, there's a lot of people who loves their work. Personally, I can't see why, but if you're talking about designers he's somebody to keep in mind anywayComment

I also think some designers have an edge depending on type of site.
IE. Solo girl- Quashe
Box tour- Alien
ect.......
In the end it's about conversion. And what may appear cookie cutter to some appears alot different to desigers that know how to sell and perform differently in a real world situation.
I think also people get the words quality and style mixed up.
most of the larger design firms mentioned in this thread have a style. Best imo are MikeW (wyldesites) and Bruno (dickmansdesign), after them I think webinc, golddesign and a few others who do excellent work.
On another note, I think a client should just check through portfolios to see what attracts them most and what they think would work best for their needs and budget. Its realy hard to say as imo the best design comes down to conversions and not how pretty it looks ;)))

Don't get me wrong Todd, maybe I didn't express it the way I wanted. What I wanted to say is that if I want something professional, no risk whatsoever -I mean risk on my side- I'd choose webinc and bluedesignstudios without hesitation. I just find -in my humble opinion and take this with a grain of salt- that you're very good at the more mainstream niches, but somehow you don't "catch the vibe" on some niches, which always amazed me being Sarah a person who knows a lot about fetishes and stuff
So, let me rephrase say I think that DEPENDING on what we need, yes, you guys are easily in my first group.
After all you already made designs for us
btw, now that I think about it this also applies to envisionnext.com and fdsign.com, their work is always stunning but they are better at some stuff and not so good at other. I love envision's corporate sites and use of flash, but I don't see them like pushing some raw hardcore sex. I love fdsign's creativity and mad ideas, (I just saw 3 sites they made for the same program and all of them are revolutionary in concept, so bloody new AlienQ will say he invented it as soon as they're launched! ) but because of this I've found some of his design ideas are trial and error. The price of innovation. So if I'd have to choose one and only one... I'd say Wyldesites.

Soon that won't be necessary for me either. Until our design service is established, I think that's a big necessity though. I know what you mean mano, all design companies, designers have there own style - what they are great at, and what they are good at. You can see from our large portfolio that we have designed about every niche out there but as with any company we might do some better then others
With any good size company we do put out promo's and Sarah and I do post somewhat, but we are usually booked up for at least a month or more out.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm not a designer though and really the designers work with what the clients ask them to do. Of course if they want my help when it comes to a fetish or micro-niche I am more than willing to help but most people come to us with ideas of what they want done already.Comment
