Meanwhile, Chris walked about and made drunken threats while Arika cried. Revsand walked back and forth working to difuse the situation and divert Chris from Arika and the courtyard.
Chris was pathetic.
He was an embarrassment to every one in the industry.
Look, someone posted something like, "This happens in bars all the time."
But this wasn't a bar. This was an industry event.
Conferences are not raves.
It is no secret that I like to party and have a good time when appropriate at shows...but this is my job.
My job is something I take pride in.
And last night I was embarrassed to be seen as a colleague of that drunken thug.

If Aaron's intent was simply to subdue Chris, then I applaud him for that, but all of this talk about "Aaron kicking ass on Chris", seems pretty far detached from what I have heard described, and in the end such actions can be counter-productive if not downright dangerous - what if Chris had a weapon, what if his purported chatter about sending thugs with guns was real - it does happen you know?
In case it is not obvious by now, I have not been in here cheerleading for Chris, but rather trying to find some amicable way for the tension to be defused (in addition to my regular doses of off-the-wall humor).
I think if in the end Chris can show some humility and apologize, then other's should allow him some way to save face and redeem himself. I assume I am not the only one who has had a bad night.
I'm hoping that as a result of the public admonishments, some enlightenment will occur, and problems of this sort will go away for future events, so that we can all just have fun and celebrate what it is we do.
I cannot close this without noting that the cynical side of me sees all of this pro-model posturing, yet some of these same people create, sponsor or are affiliates, for totally misogynistic crap which contributes to bad attitudes and bad behavior.
