    Zone Alarm and AVG failed me today

    I am still in the process of rebuilding everything.

    Whatever happened blocked me from being an administrator, making any msconfig changes, accessing System in Control Panel, turned off Restore and Microsoft Anti-Spyware and AVG and deleted all of my restore points as well as corrupted any attempt at restoring existing internet access... I finally managed to reinstalled XP and am working on reinstalling everything else... this totally qualifies as sucks.

    On a happier note, 6 and a half hours later I am saying hi to you guys

      That sucks man, good luck with the re set up of everything, I went through that, I know it's a major pain

                                      Is there any utility you can use to test if your computer is vulnerable? I have used various software firewalls, but I always wonder if they are doing any good.

                                          Am reformatting in a few hours.

                                          Saved everytrhing to my USB drives ... Will have a clean system .. for a few months.
                                          I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

                                          But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

                                                      I am fanatical about daily scans and keeping up with updates. Whatever this was, it still got me.
