COPD is considered to be the leading cause for lung problems in must smokers. Your lungs work, breath in and out, a little at a time. A normally person retains oxygen of between 95% to 100% depending on what they are doing at the time. This is the oxygen that is retained in your lungs. A smoker on COPD bottom number is 88%, maybe a top of 93%, that is if they have tubes in their nose feeding them oxygen.
