Phil's great... sure... but have you ever noticed he typically is signed on with a team that is already winning or on that path. He I don't think could be a called a real innovator, more a smart career man. But what the fuck do I know, I don't watch basketball.

I figure SA just held home court. I liked Detroit at the start and I still like them. They wear teams down over 7 games.

He went back for his gf so he can bang that fatass even more...and get paid to do it. But really who knows wtf he was thinking, people still hate kobe and blame him for that team falling apart two years ago and this isnt going to change that.

Spurs only need one game from Detriot's homecourt.
Bowen has been the key factor for the San Antonio,
shutting down Hamilton from his scoring numbers.
He should be awarded the "defensive player" of the Finals

I wonder how much drama there will be when Kobe and the team struggles next year.

$10M per year, that's why. And one of the top three players in the league. Neither of which New York was willing to provide.

Could care less really, his impact will be minimal, this is a money play for Jackson. They don't have a team, and coaching can only go so far no matter who you are.

i don't expect Phil to turn the Lakers into a championship caliber over night
unless he comes out with some aggressive moves, imagine what the Zen Master
                            is thinking right now.

Add that to the list, very true. So three reasons, though he has no shot at a title in LA, not within three years anyway. Need a dominant big man in the middle to do it, and aside from Yao, no one of championship caliber is going to be available via free agency within this three year window. Over before it starts.

would give credit also to the umbrella-liked defense of Bowen

Horrible career move for him. He will go out a two time loose now for sure. Humiliated by the Pistons last year and years of bad teams in the future now. He will be to old to see any rewards for his current Laker efforts.

Really poor move on his part.

Oh and Loverboy.... how about them Miami Heat?

I dont give a damn in the Pistons loose now... haha as long as they embarressed Shaq again.

I still think this current series will be a 7 game series though.

He can't stay away from coaching, it's what he loves. Plus it's a challenge to him, and he's got a decent shot at another nba title.
