How long does someone owe you money before you call them out on it? Promise after promise of payment, week after week after month of chasing for money. How long do you wait before you take it to a public forum?
This company in particular is not one I would like to "ruin" so to speak, but after weeks and months of "the wire has been sent" and time and again giving runarounds and excuses, I am pretty much at the end of my patience. This is basically the last outstanding customer for ANYTHING still left over from the time before my current position. I know these people have been going to shows, so obviously there's money there... why is it so hard to pay me? I would have no issue even if they made arrangements for payments (which actually they sort of did and STILL didn't follow through), but I simply keep getting told it's been sent and yet nothing is coming. I have recieved wires from these people before so I know that's certainly not the problem.
I would be perfectly willing to keep things pristine as long as there's SOME resolution to this, but I'm throwing down the gauntlet now to let these people know that if there is no resolution on this subject before the day is out, I will be forced into a position to make this much more public than just this post. I loathe the thought of doing so but I've been left with no other options at this point.
If this were only a few hundred dollars I would not take issue, especially on a public forum, however it is a substantial amount of money, they had had their product IN HAND for months (and are likely already making use of it), there is ZERO reason or excuse for this to go on any longer.
