    what advantage does epassporte have over a wire transfer?

    I remember when sponsors first started publicly offering wire transfers as a means for payment instead of cheques, and there was nowhere near the kind of push that there is now to put pressure on the sponsors to provide epassporte payments to affiliates.

    What is the advantage over a regular wire transfer? I can understand where it might help some overseas webmasters save on fees but most sponsors will do domestic & Canadian wire transfers for only $25, and often waive the fee if you do $1000+ in joins.

    Is there some kind of tax evasion scheme going on? I honestly don't get it as I have never tried epassporte and just was wondering what I was missing out on.

      Two things, ...minimal fee, and the minimum payout amount. At least in my experience with TCG payouts....

      We pay the ePassporte fee for our webmasters, and there is only a $100.00 min payout.

      For wires, there is a $20 to $50 bank fee (charged by the bank, not us) and a $500.00 min payout.

          It's cheaper and instant. compared to a wire which takes a few days, and costs $30 perhaps...

                  In addition to the benefits already listed, you can get a physical card and use it as a credit card and ATM card.

                      How is that any different from having the money wired directly to your chequing account with an ATM card?

                              well wire transfers often take 3-7 days for me so an instant online payment would be a much better choice for me.

                                  epassporte is great, it takes 1 minute instead of few days for a wire transfer, and it costs only 2 dollars for the sponsor to send, and when you get it, you can send it within another minute to another webmaster f.e for design work, whereas normally, using a bank account, it would take much more time again and cost also more
