    KABUL, Afghanistan - An American soldier was killed and three U.S. troops were wounded when insurgents ambushed a patrol Friday in eastern Afghanistan ? the third deadly attack on U.S. forces in the border region in a week.

    Anybody else notice that our "quick and brief" military action in Afghanistan is in it's fith fucking year?

    Somebody was in fantasy land when they started this war.

      Maybe it was your fantasy land...if you thought that unrest in Afghanistan would be settled quickly and briefly?

                  Maybe you can provide a link quoting an Administration official stating that Afghanistan would be "quick and brief". I do not recall any official of any importance or otherwise making that statement. No I did not vote for the current Administration...thank you very much.

                      FYI...when the US inserts troops into a country...historically it seldom withdraws all of its troops from said country...so I suspect we will have troops in Afghanistan until hell freezes over.
