Guess maybe the media does influence you too much.
We also have not always played the "stay the course" thing now have we? Wasnt that long ago we had to pull out of another war.

I have zero issue with the troops in play now and to those that have fallen. I respect that they did the job called upon them to do. I also am concerned with the ones that are still alive. No matter the views on the reasoning of the war, nor does it matter now both American and Iraqi lives are being lost. We removed Saddam for better or worse. We set up a Government for better or worse. We have given the Iraqi's freedom if they want it, they just happen to also want a civil war. That is their own war and issue, it is not ours.

Not sure how it would make us look, only the future could say. I do however think that the longer we stay the more worldwide hate that grows towards us. That does not make me feel to safe.
