After a very successfull year of delivering key accounts like Platinum Bucks, Topbucks, Wasteland and others to Azure Entertainment, I Michael Fierce have QUIT Azure Entertainment effective as of 3pm June 8th.
My sole reason for leaving Azure Entertainenment is the repeated verbal and mentally abusive behavior of recently aquired VP of sales John Berg. Jon has failed to meet even minimal performance standards, failed to land suitable office space; (and when an office was found it was with a companyy that was recently indicted for DVD counterfeiting - smooth, very smooth) attract any new clients or outperform my sales. Jon's inccessant complaining and belittling of popular industry events such as Porn-O Karaoke, The XRCO Awards and other industry events as "worthless, not worth your time, doesnt result in sales" is both inccorrect and insulting to industry vets, I have had the pleasure of attending several such events since arriving here in California and want to thank everyone at Porn-O karaoke, Bill Margold at XRCO, Terra Patrick and her man for the Avalon invite and everyone else that has met me and networked with me with the intent of doing business with my former employer. Jon wouldn't be able to recognize any of this since in the 2 months i have been here he hasnt attended even one single industry event, prefering instead to golf with his buddies, or go jaunting off to disneyland.
I am walking away with six sites worth of content deals pending for close in San Diego, I have spoken with all of these web affiliate companies regarding my departure, they were all very surprised and collectively stated that one of the main reasons they would have done business with Azure was that they had met and gotten to know me, were convinced of my creative ability and confident that i would be instrumental in seeing their projects through to completion. Those deals have all been cancelled. I am leaving a lot of money on the table, money isnt everything, respect is.
Bobby and Paul The owners of Azure, produce some of the best content in the biz, They have both been amazing friends, their guidance and good counsel have helped me exceed my goals time after time, its a shame that their repeated poor choices in VP's have led to this point. I wish them well.
I'll be around, my company Mammoth Marketing & Events Inc. is in the process of developing some sites and i hope to be working with many of you in the future.
