I have very thick coke bottle glasses; without my glasses I see everything as one big blur of color. They weigh a fucking half a pound :|

focus night and days contacts usually, couldnt survive without them seeing as i have -6 on both eyes, im fucking blind as a bat...btw if you want a pair of backup glasses i just received mine from zennioptical, it was like $15 including shipping...

I were glasses. I've worn contacts since I was 11 years old, but had to stop using them a few years back. Seems like it's not a good idea to spend too much time in front of a computer with contacts on.

I do. When I need to wear sunglasses, I switch to contacts. But there's no way I'm going to spend a lot of time in front of the screen with contacts.

luckily i don't need them. my fiance got his prescription updated and a new pair of glasses not too long ago, and i went with him to help him pick them out (as per his request). while we were there i saw soooo many pairs of cute glasses that i would totally get if i needed them. needless to say, although i'll still knock on wood, i wouldn't TOTALLY mind needing glasses.

if you're serious you should get new glasses. for a bit extra you can get thin lenses no matter how thick your glasses are. mine were pretty damn thick too but with this, they're thin. i've wore glasses since grade 3.

Another thing is the smaller the lenses are, the thinner they will be on the outer parts. The further out they go, the thicker they become. Of course you lose some field of vision then. So instead of just moving your eyes to see, you've got to move your whole head sometimes.
