well I do appreciate your input on the matter, but to answer all of your questions in a nutsehll. Yes I do believe this was intentional and I am sure this is grunt work, but I truly believe he knew EXACTLY what was going on. Like I said had this been one error maybe 2 errors I would give the benefit of the doubt. Being that you know me by reputation only you should know that I would never come out here first. I tried many times to work this out with Andreas and he left me no choice. I never get involved in these types of situations, but when I feel that I have been fucked over and the person won't even return my emails any longer when we are discussing what we both feel is fair as compensation then I will go to the boards. Its not even the money that I am after. I feel that I lost way more than what I have asked for back as I feel/know our members are extremely valuable and loyal. I just asked for that back as I thought that was about the most I could salvage from this. Had he just gave me that money back no one would have ever heard about this situation. I feel that I have been more than reasonable on this matter and I am standing behind my decision to go public.

Second Lou has more members then 90% of the companies out there and I know how much he values them. That?s why he retains better than 90% of the programs out there.

I've done a lot of business with Andreas over the years, and I know him probably better than anyone else does in this business. I have been familar with Karups for 7 years or so now. Andreas is very ethical and hard working. I am confident that the links were a mistake, their feeds are based on their members areas, and someone obviously wasn't paying enough attention to them. Running a dirverse organization with a bunch of horndogs on my team, I know how distracted they can get. It looks like Andreas got really offended by being called a cheat and refused to deal with the issue anymore. He should just swallow his pride and make this go away, I learned that lesson a long time ago.Comment

I doubt that anyone who has ever heard of the Karup crew disbelieves their statement that the upsells were there and that they shouldn't have been. Therefore Socalstreams was in the wrong, plain and simple. It's just a distraction for anyone here to speculate as to whether the appearance of these upsells was a mistake or deliberate. It's even more irrelevant whether people like Andreas or if NA converts well for them or not.
The professional reaction to getting Karups call would have been to offer a refund immediately. Not only because it would have been the right thing to do, but out of self-interest. If you have lost someone's confidence and want to salvage anything at all from the situation, you bend over backwards to do so. When the fault is so obviously yours, you do not make an offer of recompense that is conditional on continued business. The best you can hope for is that a solid gesture of good faith might rescue something.
And it's just tough if your client is pissed and doesn't talk to you in the way you would prefer. You suck it up. The client has every right to be upset in circumstances like these: especially to Karups, the presence of these upsells would not have been a minor matter because they introduced an element to their member area that is entirely contrary to the principles on which they run their sites.
We have all been in situations when our egos get in the way of us doing the right thing first time around. But Karups wrote that they have spent a week trying to resolve this and come to that, it's almost 12 hours since "DrinkingHard" called Andreas about this thread. Does anyone seriously think the response was adequate that "He is more than happy to make some kind of restitution and would like to work things out. He respects you greatly as a peer and a person, he would just ask that you call him and be a little bit more civil and polite on the phone." Andreas knows what Karups want yet he talks of working things out and he puts Karups in the position of having to call him (you could say, on his terms), to get anything at all. That is just further compounding the mistakes he has already made.Comment
