    What the fuck??

I registered a domain yesterday morning (24 hours ago) and I tried to add it to my dedicated server at Webair.com, however the previous owner of the domain was also hosting with Webair. Since he didnt remove the domain from his account I cant add the domain to my account. Webair told me they need to contact him and ask him to remove it even though I own the domain.

The webair tech told me it could be a week or untill the previous owner replies. How fucked up is that. Im thinking of moving hosts.

I guess it kind of makes sense but I agree it is a fucked up situation. Imagine if people could just contact hosts and get domains placed on their servers. How crazy would that be?

Why don't you setup a cheap virtual account somewhere until this gets sorted?

LiveDose, if they can't sort this shit out then they have lost me as a client. Seriously, change turn his account off and turn mine on, it can't be that hard to do.

I totally agree, the situation sucks.

I would start another thread with the word Webair in the title. You will get a little more attention to your situation and maybe it will get them to speed this shit up.. Trust me the Webair 'parade' will keep bumping your thread.

How true it is. WebAir has quite the following.

                    Problem resolved.

Thanks Anuj from Webair. The previous support guy must have been new or just following the correct steps to remove a site. So now I fully understand.
