Correct - produced in 1971 and sure is grotesque and in the same style as others in the series. It's hard to find references with actual substance, but here's a limited review of the Mondo Cane series of movies:

which concentrated on the more bizzare aspects of human activity. Tho Goodbye Uncle Tom is a "pseudo documentary", the producers have stated in courts that their research is accurate - tho sure, the object is to shock and although these incidents did happen, they are prob encapsulated for total impact.
