I'm not taking anything away from Silva, he's still a bad ass. I am of the belief that Pride has the upper hand with better fighters.

Though, Chonan went on to get knocked out by Baroni, who lost his last 4 UFC fights.
Interestingly, Franklin defended well in the clinch vs. evan tanner, which is tanner's forte.

This is my take on the fight - granted I am not an MMA fighter, just a fan - I think that Silva isn't that much better than Franklin as the results of this fight showed. I wouldn't go so far to say Silva got lucky, but I will say Silva got lucky to win in such resounding fashion. Why? I think that with the very first knee to the body, Franklin got hurt; either a cracked rib or serious bruise. He just didn't look right after that first knee to the body. Silva is not so much better/stronger than Franklin to be throwing him around the ring. No way.

Then again, I am a Franklin fan and am looking forward to him healing and coming back and this time pummeling Silva's face with GnP.
