    Calling on computer nerds! :)

My dad wants internet access in his garage, there is a wireless router in the house (linksys BEFW1154). The garage is about 25 feet from the house. Is it possible to get a signal in his garage from the house? If so which wireless card should I get for his computer, or would I need a new router and card?

should be ok from the house. We use a wireless access point at work and we can go like 200 feet away

If the signal is too weak to get to the garage (which it will be) you can buy 7dbi antennas to boost the signal. They work quite well. These are much better than the stock 2dbi antennas.

Here is the link, look around Im sure you can get something cheaper.

Get a linksys card if possible - doesn't matter - but try and keep em the same.
If the signal is real bad try gettting a third party gainer.

        Like This for example.
