For the answer to the question posed by this thread, you need only look at what has been the "star" topic for the past week.
That the scumware issue didn't simply disappear in a couple of days is a sign that we are beginning to mature. But the lack of participation in the topic is a sign of how far there is to go.
I would guess at a further 5-10 years before the cowboys in this business are largely sidelined and we can begin to call ourselves "mature".
