Anyone with Comcast cable ever have this happen...

Every now and then at 3am the cable boxes will 'cycle' off, then back on, and sometimes it will cause one of the TVs to turn on. Used to freak me out when I'd wake up to it, but now I'm used to it.

This ever happen to anyone else?

I've had the cable box cycle and end up off in the morning - screws up any TIVO'd programs. Ugh. The cable company sometimes sends thru new programming info to the box and has to reboot.
Beat it. Nothing to see here.

dude, I seriously thought it was a ghost at first... hairs all stood up on my arms and shit. I grew up in a house that was haunted, so I was thinking, 'ah fuck, not again...' LOL

You must have the TV plugged into the Cable Box for power -- there's no need for that. Plug the TV into an "unhaunted outlet" and, at least, it will take care of the middle-of-the-night oogie-boogies --

I've had my cable box randomly recycle itself...but never has it turned on a T.V. Maybe the girl from The Ring is coming to get you

                            I've heard of it.

Seems to coinside with the time they send through the new program listings at 3 or 4am.

Could be there is something in one of your boxes not fuctioning properly, and picking up the reset signal. Sometimes equipment can cause the problem you are having, and sometimes it is something on the network side. Best bet's to call the cable company, and get a tech out there to double check your equipment wiht their gizmo's.
