Seriously, just leave it on for a bit and wait until the smell goes away. Then cook your foot.

hahaha my wife said the same thing

but i guess it is just the "new smell" thing

the place i bought it from said let it turn for an hour and it should fade away or bake some cookies lol

from what i read it's normal for electric ranges to smell during the first few operations of the oven

call the manufacturer to be sure.... i'm sure they have a 1-800 #
