                                                    I think it is a very, very dumb idea. The reason I am in adult is because surfer porn forums used to offer free porn. then they all started getting shut down for various reasons. I thought fuck, i need to find more before the whole think goes, So I typed in porn forum in google, got to another board, posted there for a bit. Saw a link for a program, signed up and made them some signups. Ok I must be like 0.1% of surfers that actully convert. But this is a unique reason why you should not ban people just because they surf.

                                                        for people to start learning, become an industry person, and then come here and talk about it..

                                                        I am well aware that most of us were surfers at one time, but we did not all come to gfy to learn how to do stuff.. hell, I did not even get on a chat board for almost a year after I got in the biz because I wanted to just soak up info and then be able to contribute.

                                                                            The only people who really need to be banned are Madawgz and Squishypimp. They act nice and dont flame people, so that's cool, but these surfers have taken post whoring to an extreme. If they were real webmasters, I wouldnt even care, but when a surfer/newbie who doesnt know shit about shit posts 100 - 150 times per day every day for months and months consecutively, it really does bring down the overall quality of the board.

                                                                                    Considering many surfers end up here from SE and so on, it would be more effective to close the board and viewing for registered members only. That would cut off 95% of the tempted trolls. The last 5% you can't do anything about anyway, because they would just lie about what they are doing.

                                                                                                                                                                    The surfer just looking for free porn won't register an account and can still surf the board without anyone noticing it. Those who register may be interested in becoming a webmaster, probably part time to start with, but why exclude those who potentially can make you, me or anyone else here some money ?

                                                                                                                                                                    Closing the board for the general public is a bad idea, many webmaster may not want to post here, but still read the board, click your sigs, etc...without wanting to make an account.

                                                                                                                                                                    So, the damage done by surfers reading webmaster talk, which will bore most of them after a day or even much earlier, is neglegtable to the loss of silent "read only" webmasters or potential webmasters.
