            Americans are not banned. We are welcome there. It is the US government that does not allow US citizens to visit Cuba without special permission.

            But if you want to go... you can go. The Cubans know not to stamp your passport and if you go via a 3rd country (Cancun for example), you will be fine. More Americans get nailed going through Canada for some reason. I think it has something to do with the fact that Canada shares it's flight manifesto with the USA where Mexico does not.

            You will also need to make sure you do not get stamped coming back IN to that 3rd country you left from. $20 will tak care of that. Slip it in your passport and they will know what it is for when they see it. A simple "no stamp por favor" with a smile is a good added touch if your going through Mexico.

                            i've been to cuba many times, yes there a poor people and yes they do wanna go elsewhere cuz they got no jobs, their economy is not the best. But its the most friendliest place i've ever been too and would love living down there but I was not allowed to buy a house there.
                            thanks for making my point dumbass. who gives a shit if everyone is friendly if you cant get a job, are eating your "free" table scraps, and sleeping on the floor in a room with 15 others in your "free house", a house you CANNOT own btw. everyone KNOWS CUBA is wonderful because they stick to the tourism areas and see candycanes and rainbows made of cheese. i guess you've never been to california. if you're poor and cant find work, you get FREE HEALTHCARE, FREE FOOD, FREE HOUSING and even FREE MONEY! hurray! the only catch is you have to be mexican.
