People will of course pay a fortune for one. So it probably would be worth your wait. Personally though if i stayed out overnight for one, i'd rather keep it to myself.

Doesn't sound that way with PS3. They only have 400,000 ready for North America at launch, and only 100,000 for Japan. And with it being Christmas most of those will be gone through pre-orders.
Same with xbox 360, some people that preordered them months ahead of time for the November launch still didn't get them until January or February of the following year.
I'd never buy a launch unit anyway, seeing as how they tend to be the ones full of bugs.Comment

Any store that is offering pre-orders will not have units for sale at launch. Find a store that isn't taking pre-orders and wait there.
Europe uses PAL, North America uses NTSC. So a North American PS3 won't work on a European TV.
Launches on November 11th in Japan.
