I dont know man, Evven China is not happy about this, and NK is like chinas spoiled kid that no matter what they will defend. I think if they find that it was actually a nuclear device and not just a Shitload of conventional firepower then the world will have to make some kind of statement about it, otherwise were all pretty much open to whoever feels like doing this next, this is also a testing platfor for Iran, if we let NK slide, how far behind is Iran, a country much more capable of creating long range missles and making smll enough nuclear devised to mount them with.

2, leave North korea to develop their arms and become a threat to the region, and at the same time give Iran the green light to do the same

Only China has leverage on N. Korea, apparently they believe it is not in their interest to keep N. Korea in line.
Maybe when Japan and Taiwan make announcements that they are going nuclear, it will inspires the Chinese to do the right thing.
