    Best idea yet.

It's piece of your uncle, his unit and even world history. Friends of my father fought and died in that war.

Blowout deal. 880 videos, 2,400 image sets, plus many RAW videos. $500.
PM me for a deal. Skype Paulmarkham70

I know an original copy of Mein Kemp, autographed by the one and only Hitler,
was sold yesterday for 20000pounds. Thats about 40000 US Dollars.
But your flag is only as whearth as someone wants to pay for it.
It could be wearth hanging on to the flag for a long term investment.
But thats up to you. Don't know if German war memoribilia is in demand.

I'm a big history buff was there anything else there other than the banner? Just curious and you should take it to the local auction house and get in contact with somebody that can preserve it correctly

The banner was the only item she found. It wont rot away trust in that. its going to be vacuum sealed for safe keeping until it can be appraised or encased for display and preservation.

The first thing that comes to my mind is an image of a group of guys who fought their way from northern france to the heart of germany and survived the battle of the bulge, standing around perhaps in an abandoned ss officers home or bombmed out operations center, laughing and joking with one another and signing this thing some perhaps even signing the names of their fallen friends who would have loved to been there, Debating on who was gonna take it home with em. But anyway, thats just what comes to mind for me.

one of the men listed on the flag, Cpl. John T. Bardolf is listed in the ww2 memorial website (HERE) . among other duties in the 751st field artillery division he became part of the security forces after V-E (victory in Europe) day was declared. These security forces would have had alot of access to previously nazi and ss occupied buildings. I imagine the banner could have been acquired after the fighting had ended and the soldiers were finding souveniers to send home.

She called me about it and asked would I take some pics and research it and try to find more information. All I found out was that several of the names were stationed with the 751st field artillery battalion who among other locations fought mainly in northern france, rhineland and central germany, as well as ardennes (Battle of the Bulge).

This flag was taken from the wall in nazi occupied territory, and signed by alot of brave soldiers, many who show as KIA on the ww2 memorial website.. I thought it was very cool to have a piece of history like this in my hands so I went up and took some pics last night, they arent the best quality but I thought I would share them with you. The thing is pristine, even after all these years. And its huge, 10foot long, and 4 foot wide.

The rest (Mainly pics of the names) are in this directory.
