          I know manual modes :-)

          I need something that has a good batch mode for extracting thumbs every half sec for long clips 30-60 min

                          crap quality = automatic program
                          not so crap quality = do it manually
                          ULTRA high quality = hire a photographer to shoot before and after you shoot video.
