    PC gamers: Prepare yourselves for 'Battlefield 2'.

    EA confirms that its much-anticipated modern-military shooter has been ordered to the factory and will deploy for PCs on June 21.

    Named the Best Shooter at E3 2005, Battlefield 2 takes the team-based military combat of DICE's best-selling Battlefield 1942 series and transports it into the modern era.

                      A whole bunch of people did considering that it won the 2002 PC Game of the Year.

                      I played a mod of BF1942 called Desert Combat, which looks a whole lot like what Battlefield 2 is gonna look like.

                          I didn't know you played that. Me and YNOT Bob and a couple guys from over there used to play DC kinda regularly, last year. We played on Wednesday nights.

                              M16's are so outdated, personell need a liquid cooled gattling gun type weapon that carries ultra-light synthetic ammunition....400-500 rounds minimum, no reloading, no bullshit

                              and a super-light exoskeleton that can take on an AK-47 round from head to toe, with only the neck/elbows/knees potentially exposed to a direct shot during movement

                              then we'd own the battlefield, in conventional warfare
