What is a good back up Credit Card processor?

Hey guys. Quick question for you. Just looking into registering for a back up CC processor other than CCbill. Obviously you all know CCbill turns down tons of clients. Is there a processor that I can use as a back up that might pick up these clients? I want to still use CCbill as my main, just need something in case CCbill crashes again, and for saving some possible sales which get turned down by them. So what do you all recommend? I was looking into Ibill, but I don't know, are they the same as CCbill with denials?

Thank you ahead of time for you replies!

if you're in the US, i think the other choice would be Epoch
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

it's hard to say. i would just try it (i mean it can't hurt, can it?). most of our customers are based in the US, but i know that Epoch provides SWITCH/SOLO for UK based customers.

Just called up Epoch to ask them some things. The guy who picked up barely spoke english and told me (when I asked the question can I use you guys as a back up processor and would you work with a CCbill install) NO.

ahh..the joys of living and working in southern california where nobody speaks any english....a common problem that i have to deal with on a daily basis.

we use an affiliate program software that will automatically cascade our customers to the next processor. HOWEVER, i remember CCBill saying that they are able to re-direct all declines to a location of your choice (i.e. you can set that to another signup page/processor), so please contact CCBill and ask them about this.

also, contact Epoch again and you can ask for the sales rep we use. her name is Amparo.

well yea ccbill can redirect the declines to wherever you want. The problem I'm having is deciding on a good secondary processor that will be able to take the people that were turned down (mostly in Europe). I think I may use Ibill.... Does anyone use them? Do you have any thoughts on them?

We can help you get setup with your own merchant account and processing. We have many clients that are cascading with CCBill.

i think the problem with declines in Europe is that many processors do not validate European customer data and addresses effectively on their join pages. (i.e. you can't make the "state/province" field required because some of the people over there don't have a "state/province" or they might not understand the term "zip code", when they use the term "postal code", or they might not understand what "last name" means because they use the term "surname")

That is correct. Some foreign banks TRY to do AVS but it doesn't always work the best due to all the different ways of entering billing data. But because it is your own merchant account, you get to choose which AVS responses go through. Most foreign banks don't try to validate the address, some do.

Just go with verotel, trust me.
Its not cheap but you will be surprised! 4 years with verotel experience talking.
The cost is $1,900 to get an verotel pro account.
You GET YOUR $1,900 dollars back if you grow you business to make more then $1,000 dollar a week within 6 months!!!

And there are some tricks I learned with them, like possibility to pay only 6% processing fee.

Verotel is best option for you, they are located in netherlands, their scrubbing is minimal specially compared with ccbil and in your case with european costumers you want to use with.

probably the best part is also Multy-currency options,
You can charge your european costumers in their currencies like in EURO, SEK, NOK, DKK, CAD, CHF, GBP, USD...
Verotel even have SMS billing option if you want and many more.

                            Another good part is Escrow
Verotel is using Dutch trade law to ensure that your money is kept safe, and is legally not in the hands of Verotel! So you can never lose your money even if verotel would go down!

24/7 phone, email and live chat support.
They pay you in time ALWAYS!!! wire or check.

HAHA verotel sucks!!!! I hate them! They shut my account down a while back without any notice of a problem or anything. It turned out (after talking to webmasters) NOT EVEN FROM THEIR SUPPORT STAFF WHICH NEVER REPLIED TO MY EMAILS...that I had a link linking to a toplist which had some links on it to teen models under 18. I got shut down and they refused to give me 4,000$ they owed me!

No notice, just shut me down and never put me back up! FOR A LINK!!!! ALl they had to say was remove it, i would have done so and all would have been ok. Not to mention the fact that THEY were the ones promoting underage sites all over the place.

On the fact alone that their customer service SUCKS and is NON-EXISTENT I would never recommend them to ANYONE!!!

But thanks for taking the time to reply Sorry had to vent...I really have a bad taste in my mouth from them!
