NEED WEB HOSTING - a dedicated server for a few mainstream sites

I need a dedicated server which will host a social networking site to start with. The site won't be getting too much traffic at the beginning but within 4-6 weeks it should start picking up. So I need a server that can handle the traffic when it will hit the server hard, but at the same time need a good price plan that won't cost a lot until the traffic starts hitting the server real hard.

One thing I can tell you is that the site WILL be getting a lot of traffic, but it will just be a matter of time. So if you can give me a good deal right now you will definitely enjoy a long-time customer of multiple servers down the line =)

That type of set really does need some power, every page will be dynamic and images and so fourth will loading fro a database.

I would get a dual xeon or at least HT p4 around 3.0 you need two gigs of ram as well since the MySQL will be through the roof.

If you want do it right your going to be around $299 - $349 managed with cpanel. Eventually you will want to do a remote MYSQL box for about another $200 a month.

Also I wouldn't cheap on the connection, since a p2p type environment is tested all over every minute. It needs a good connection or bad reps will roll out fast.

Wow that's more then I thought, I would get you on a dual xeon with a 20 meg line. Your looking at about $549. We can alwasy upgrade you to this later after the traffic starts coming. Are system is fully scalable. We also have free daily external back ups. Much more.
